Singapore-based healthtech startup Homage secures USD 30 Mn in Series C

	
Homage’s total raised funding has surpassed USD 45 million
	
The startup currently boasts of a regional network of over 6,000 pre-screened and trained care professionals.


Homage, the caregiving-focused startup headquartered in Singapore, has raised USD 30 million in a Series C funding round led by Sheares Healthcare Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the investment firm Temasek.

The round saw participation from new investors including Sagana Capital, and DG Daiwa Ventures, as well as returning backers SeedPlus, East Ventures (Growth), HealthXCapital, Alternate Ventures, and Trihill Capital.

The newly secured funding will be utilized for developing Homage’s technology, continue integration with aged & disability care payer & provider infrastructure, and accelerate its regional expansion by partnering with hospitals and care providers.

Homage presently operates in Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia, and offers various services comprised of home visits from nurses, caregivers, therapists, and doctors; telemedicine; and services for chronic illnesses.

Homage’s platform is gaining popularity particularly due to its matching engine, which assists clients, like older adults and people living with chronic conditions in finding providers that best suit their needs. These final matches are then reviewed by the company’s team.

The startup mentioned that the round was oversubscribed and one of the largest funding secured by an on-demand healthcare platform in Southeast Asia and Oceania till date. The total raised funding of Homage after this round crossed over USD 45 million.

As part of the Series C investment deal, Khoo Ee Ping, the chief corporate development officer of Sheares Healthcare Group, will join Homage’s board of directors.

Homage presently has a regional network of over 6,000 pre-screened and trained care professionals. It claims that its business outside of Singapore showed a year-over-year growth of 600% in 2021, and it has more than tripled the revenue in the past year.
