Xiaomi Mi 11 racks up strong profit, crosses 500K units in launch sale

Chinese multinational electronics firm, Xiaomi Corporation, reportedly unveiled that it accrued revenue worth over USD 23,20,72,350 in a span of 5 minutes, after the first sale of its Mi 11 flagship smartphone, announced in December, which went live on 1st January.

According to reliable sources, Xiaomi had hosted a party in celebration of crossing sales of 500,000 units of the flagship smartphone, that had been joined by Lu Weibing, Redmi GM, Lei Jun, several executives including the President of the mobile phone department of Xiaomi Group, Zeng Xuezhong.

The massive sale is an affirmation of the brand’s success and the receivership that the Mi 11 is already enjoying. In this context, a decent number of fans still want to get their hands on the unit despite the removal of the charger, but most of the orders placed are for the non-green version that comes with an adapter in-the-box. The first sale saw just 20,000 Mi 11 Green Edition units sold, cited credible sources.

Experts claim that several aspects of the newly launched phone such as performance, screen, fast charging technology, and others are improved in Mi 11 as compared to the previous Mi 10 version. Moreover, Mi 11 comes with a bigger screen, has a sharper with 2K resolution display as well as a 480 Hz touch sampling rate, and 120 Hz refresh rate.

As compared to 30W support on the Mi 10, the phone supports 55W fast wired charging for its 4600 mAh battery. Powered by Snapdragon 888 chipset, the phone comes in either an 8GB or 12 GB RAM variant. It also features an in-display fingerprint, which in addition to unlocking the phone and approving payments, can also measure heart rate, says the company.

Other features include Harman Kardon tuned stereo speakers, NFC, IR blaster, dual nano-SIM support, improved Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2 with Qualcomm TrueWireless Stereo Plus, sources confirmed. Speaking of the user interface, Mi 11 runs MIUI 12 based on Android 11.
